Azahar Dream Homes scoops top industry overseas property award
Colchester based overseas property company Azahar Dream Homes has beaten off competition from across Europe to win one of the industry’s top awards.
The company has been named "Best Estate Agent" in the Castellõn region of Spain (Costa del Azahar) in this year’s Spanish Property Awards, widely recognised as the Oscars of the international property world.
The awards have been organised for the past 15 years by the prestigious International Homes magazine, sponsored by Daily Mail, and Spanish Bank BBVA. Some 200 companies from across Europe were eligible for the category in which Azahar Dream Homes came out on top.
David Blackwell, Managing Director of Azahar Dream Homes, has been in the overseas property business for 20 years. He founded Azahar Dream Homes after discovering the tranquil area of Costa del Azahar in 1986 - where he himself purchased - and in a short space of time it has become one of the most respected in the industry.
He said: "To win this International Property Award is an amazing achievement. All our staff, both here and in Spain, have worked tremendously hard to secure our market-leading position and I would like to thank them all for helping us to achieve this recognition."
The award presentation was at the London Marriott in Park Lane on Friday 3rd November, and the award was presented to David by the ledgendary Rick Wakeman.
Azahar Dream Homes is a member of the industry’s leading professional body, FOPDAC – the Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants, as well as the European Estate Agents Union and the Forum of Independent Professional Property Agents.
The company’s main focus is on the beautiful Costa Azahar (Orange Blossom Coast) halfway down Spain’s eastern coast. However, due to increasing enquiries from customers the company has now expanded into other areas of Spain and the rapidly expanding Bulgarian market.
As well as its office at Langham, just outside Colchester, the company also has offices in Alcossebre on the Costa del Azahar, and associate offices in Denia and the Jalon Valley, both on the beautiful Costa Blanca (North). All offices have friendly and knowledgeable English-speaking staff.
