Welcome to the Jalon Valley!

The Jalon Valley is a place that time seems almost to have forgotten, where the passing of the year is marked by almond and orange blossom, and the picking of olives and grapes.

If you are looking for a classical traditional Spanish lifestyle away from high rise buildings and mass tourism ... look no further!

In the Jalon Valley (pronounced 'Halon') you have beautiful mountain scenery which shelters the valley, and simply breath-taking panoramic views over the deep pink almond blossom to the Mediterranean. You are only 20 minutes away at Denia or Morairia, and you could be on the beach at Calpe in less than 15 minutes.

Ideally located within the Costa Blanca North, this region is mid-way between the airports of Valencia and Alicante, so accessibility is not a problem. Spain’s national motorway, the A7, is only ten minutes away, so it’s easy to reach other areas.

The jewel in the crown here is Jalon – locally known as Xalo – which, with the surrounding whitewashed villages of Parcent, Alcalali and Lliber located within the valley, makes this area very special place. Quaint these villages and towns may be, but all have modern facilities and many quality restaurants, bars, bistros, shops, banks, and medical centres.

This timeless rustic backwater has caught the imagination of middle-market UK buyers, and even in this very Spanish residential area, one in five have a British passport! There is even an international school – The Lady Elizabeth – at Lliber, attended by 600 children from the ages of three to 18. These pupils represent 17 nations, mainly British and around 20% Spanish. The full British National Curriculum, from nursery to GCSE and ‘A’ level, is delivered by qualified staff.

For those who enjoy golf, the mature La Sella championship course is only a few minutes’ drive away, with its newly-opened 5-star Marriot Spa Hotel. At La Sella Residential, Hollywood superstar Richard Geer is having a fantastic retreat built here!

The Jalon Valley is not an area where you will find too many new-build houses for sale, as it is a sleepy region with the builders no exception!
